● Nine TOPIC courses including:
1. Treatment of Low Back Pain
2. Overuse and common joint disorders: tendonitis, tendonosis, bursitis, arthritis
3. Fibromyalgia & Central Sensitization - Assisting people living with chronic pain
4. Trauma, Fascia & The Nervous System
5. Women's reproductive health - Menstruation, Pregnancy & Menopause
6. Autoimmune & Inflammatory Conditions
7. Orthopedic Surgery Pre/Post-Op Options and Healing Scars
8. Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders: Migraine TMJ dysfunction etc…
9. Snowflakes - Complex and Uncategorized Presentation
Each workshop is 16 hours. While recommended, the Foundation course is not a requirement for the topic courses. All courses are awaiting RAB approval.

What sets IMS apart?
We honor both the rigorous intellect AND the intuitive heart of clinical practice. These courses don't ask you to choose between evidence and embodied wisdom - they integrate scientific literacy with the somatic intelligence you've developed through years of hands-on work. Your analytical mind and your sensing hands are equally valued here.
These courses do not offer a single method toward treatment. We look at the research, use clinical reasoning tools and a wide variety of techniques to offer the best possible treatment, regardless of the modality you are using..
About Sarah
Sarah's foundation in manual therapy began with comprehensive training at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics (1998-99), where she earned her Natural Therapeutics Specialist certification in massage therapy, Polarity Therapy, Reflexology, holistic nutrition, Shiatsu, and clinical applications. Her expertise deepened through intensive specialization in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy at the American Institute of Myofascial Studies (2010-11), where she mastered the precise, medically-oriented treatment protocols developed by Dr. Janet Travell for addressing chronic pain, mobility limitations, injury rehabilitation, and symptoms associated with chronic illness.
Since 2002, aquatic bodywork has formed a cornerstone of Sarah's practice. As a Registered Watsu® Practitioner and Registered Healing Dance® Instructor, she has completed over 540 hours of training with pioneers in the field including Harold Dull and Alexander George, through the School of Shiatsu & Massage and Healing Dance Institute. Her aquatic work represents a sophisticated integration of fascial awareness, proprioceptive repatterning, and nervous system regulation through the unique therapeutic properties of warm water. Sarah's work is distinguished by her deep engagement with contemporary fascia research. She has trained with renowned fascia researcher Robert Schleip and his colleagues Divo Müller and Daniela Meinl through the Fascial Fitness Academy (2014-present), completing over 150 hours of specialized training. Her additional studies with Tom Myers' Anatomy Trains further refined her understanding of fascial continuities and their clinical applications. This scientific foundation allows her to bridge alternative healing traditions with cutting-edge research in fascial mechanobiology, making her practice both innovative and evidence-based.
Sarah's commitment to advancing alternative and complementary therapies extends deeply into education. Over 12 years (2003-2015), she served as a lead instructor at Crystal Mountain School of Therapeutic Massage, developing curricula and lecturing on massage therapy techniques, communication, stretching, pregnancy massage, reflexology, sports massage, ethics, and supervised clinical internships. She also taught at Universal Therapeutic Massage Institute (2002-2004), where she instructed courses in Swedish massage, shiatsu, business and ethics, sports massage, reflexology, and craniosacral therapy. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes safe, effective bodywork and empowering practitioners to develop clinical reasoning skills grounded in anatomical precision and ethical practice.
