Clear Direction

When other care has run out of answers, what then?

I offer health guidance that combines current scientific fascial research, 30 years of clinical experience as a myofascial specialist and determination to find solutions that work.

Health dilemmas

Maybe it’s pain no one can explain. Maybe it’s an illness that never seems to settle, or a long recovery after surgery or cancer treatment that is supposed to have healed by now. You’ve been tested, referred and reassured, and you’re still missing answers.

Many people come to me at exactly this point. They don’t need another opinion. They need a plan, someone who takes the whole picture seriously, and someone who will still be available when there's no clear direction.

This is for you if you live with

  • chronic or unexplained pain
  • an autoimmune or other chronic illness
  • the long road back after surgery or cancer
  • overwhelm due to health complications

Why 'fascia' focused?

What is fascia?

Fascia is the connective tissue that runs through your whole body. It wraps every muscle, nerve, blood vessel and organ, and it links them to each other. You can think of it as one continuous web, rather than set of separate parts.

Healthy fascia is supple and slides easily. It’s also full of sensory nerve endings, which means it’s one of the ways your body feels and senses itself.

Why consider it for your health?

Fascia responds to how you live: how you move, how much you sit, how you sleep, how stressed you are, and what you’ve been through, including injury, surgery and illness. When it gets stiff, thickened or stuck, it can contribute to pain and restriction, sometimes far from the place that hurts. That’s one reason pain can be hard to pin down, and why a scan can look “fine” while you don’t feel fine.

Fascia research is still young, and I follow it closely. It doesn’t explain everything, and I wdon’t claim it does. Looking at the whole web, rather than one sore spot, often shows what’s been overlooked and gives us something practical to work with.

How it works

1

orientation

A free 20 minute phone or zoom introduction in which we discover if we are a good match. Bring your questions and concerns. You can schedule our call online, or just call and we'll find the right time.

2

MAPPING

One-time consultation: health history, movement assessment, understanding the whole, and a written map with the first practical steps.

3

guided path

Twelve weeks, six planned sessions, and a check-in every week. Each session follows the same simple rhythm: review how it’s going, look at the challenges, refine your actions. Hands-on treatment is included where it’s appropriate, in person or online.

4

continued support

A lighter rhythm after the 12 week program: a monthly session or a once in awhile check in when its time to dig deeper or move on to the next step.

Seeking solutions

At the heart of this work is my determination to keep looking for health solutions that work for people when there are only dead ends, unsatisfying answers and everything else has been tried.

The healing arts are my field and my experience and expertise, and together we can create a clear direction to help you feel better and enjoy life again.
